What happens is, a lot of times, being a business adviser and a professional adviser, we deal with people on a daily basis. Most people mean well. They don't want to hurt or harm anyone, but they can't help that human nature of just wanting to get that edge or to get one over on the other side.
We don't allow that. So, when I see nonsense happening, when I see people not being honest or not being transparent, or not having that level of integrity which we require and demand from our clients, we just let them know we're not going to participate in this.
We're not going to cater to that nonsense because it all happens, and then it becomes a pissing contest, which we're not going to allow.
So, have I said no before to clients? Yes. Have I canceled deals before? Numerous times. And I have no problem and I have no regrets because, at least, I know I can sleep well at night knowing that I did my job in an ethical fashion.
